About access

What is the nearest station? How long does it take to get there?

→The nearest station is Echigo-Nakazato Station. It's a 15-minute walk from there.

How do I use the pick-up/drop-off service? Is a reservation required?

→We offer a shuttle service, but no reservation is required.

Please contact us by phone once you have decided on a time. During busy times, there may be a short wait, but we will serve you in order.

Is there parking available?

→Yes. We have free parking available on our premises.

Do I need snow tires in winter?

→Due to heavy snowfall in the winter, road conditions can change rapidly. For your safety, please ensure you have snow tires or snow chains. Also, please be aware that it can snow even in mid-March, so we recommend being prepared.

Is it possible to get in and out before check-in/after check-out?

→Yes, it is possible.

Please let us know your expected arrival time at Echigo-Yuzawa or Echigo-Nakazato Station in advance.

Please note that the last pick-up from the ski resort is at 4:30 PM , and the last pick-up from Echigo-Yuzawa Station is at 7:30 PM .

[After checkout]

We provide transportation to and from the ski resort and train station even after check-out. Please feel free to let us know when you are ready to depart.

Please note that we use only one vehicle for transportation, so you may be transported together with other customers or you may have to wait a short while. It would be helpful if you could let us know in advance.

Check-in/Check-out

Please tell me your check-in/check-out times.

→Check-in is from 3 PM

Check-out is available until 10:00 AM.

Can I check in early?

→We apologize. Our inn is family-run, and we have a small staff for cleaning and preparation, so we are unable to accommodate early check-in requests. You will be able to check in as soon as your room is ready.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.

Can I use the facilities after checking out?

→We apologize, but we do not allow guests to use the facilities after check-out.

At our hotel, we prioritize ensuring that our current guests have a relaxing stay, so we appreciate your understanding.

Can I leave my luggage somewhere?

→Yes, that is possible. You can leave your luggage and change clothes even before check-in. We also offer transportation services so you can head out as soon as you arrive.

​Meals

What time is mealtime?

→Meals are served to everyone at once starting around 6 PM.

Depending on the preparation status for that day, the time may vary slightly.

We will notify you via the hotel's public address system when your room is ready. Please relax in your room until then.

Can you accommodate allergies?

→We can accommodate allergies to the extent possible. If you have any requests, please let us know in advance.

Please note that depending on the type and availability of ingredients, it may be difficult to accommodate your request, or we may not be able to prepare it in time if you contact us at the last minute. Thank you for your understanding.

Are there any plans that do not include meals?

→Yes. We also offer room-only plans.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

→Yes. There is an izakaya (Japanese pub) called "Taruppe" about a 9-minute walk from our hotel. It is a popular local spot, so we recommend making a reservation in advance if you plan to visit.

Rooms and facilities

Is Wi-Fi available?

→Yes. We offer free Wi-Fi at our hotel.

Please note that there may be areas where the signal is weak depending on the room or location.

Does it have a bathtub?

→While our hotel does not have in-room bathrooms, you can reserve our hotel's public bath for private use. We allow one group at a time to enjoy it at their leisure during off-peak hours.

When using the facility, please set the sign at the entrance to "Occupied" before entering. After use, please return the sign to its original position.

What amenities are available?

→We provide face towels and toothbrushes at our hotel.

We also rent out bath towels for 200 yen, so please let our staff know if you would like one.

Please note that we do not provide samue (traditional Japanese work clothes) or yukata (traditional Japanese summer kimono). We would appreciate it if you could bring your own pajamas and relax comfortably.

Are there any precautions I should take inside the building?

→Please be considerate of other guests while inside the building.

Due to the building's structure, sound tends to carry easily, and footsteps and conversations may be heard. The space is quiet at night. Please refrain from talking in the hallways and enjoy your time relaxing in your room.

As a small, family-run inn, we welcome our guests while sharing our daily lives with them. We hope you enjoy the unique atmosphere of this place.

Are there any insects?

→Yes, they do. Our facility is located in the middle of a forest, so you may see insects depending on the season. In particular, from autumn to winter, stink bugs may come inside seeking warmth.

If you find one, please gently remove it with masking tape and dispose of it.

What are the other seasons like?

→While this region may be strongly associated with winter, it has a variety of appearances throughout the four seasons.

Spring is the season when snow and greenery mingle. Cherry blossoms and wild vegetables begin to appear.

Summer offers more opportunities to spend time in nature, such as attending Fuji Rock Festival, other festivals, playing in rivers, and hiking.

Autumn is the season for enjoying the changing leaves, cycling, and the delicious taste of new rice.

It's a place where you can enjoy yourself in different ways with each changing season.

Ski and snowboard rentals

Do you have rentals available?

→Yes. We offer ski, snowboard, and snow wear rentals at our facility.

If you are interested, please feel free to ask our staff. For more details, please check the rental page.

Is a reservation required for rental?

→Rentals are available without a reservation. However, due to limited availability, we may not be able to accommodate your request. Making a reservation in advance will allow us to assist you more smoothly upon your arrival.

How far is it to the ski resort?

→The nearest ski resort is Nakazato Ski Resort, which is a 5-minute drive away. Iwahara Ski Resort and Yuzawa Park Ski Resort are also nearby, and shuttle services are available.

In addition, there are many other ski resorts in the surrounding area, including Kandatsu Snow Resort, GALA Yuzawa, Kagura Mitsumata, and Naeba. We recommend using the shuttle buses provided by each ski resort or driving your own car to get to these resorts.

Surrounding environment

Is there a convenience store nearby?

→Yes, there is. There is a FamilyMart within walking distance, inside the Angel Grandia building. This convenience store is also used by Angel Grandia guests, so we ask for your cooperation in using it responsibly.

I'd like to go out for drinks, are there any restaurants nearby?

→The surrounding area is surrounded by nature, and there are only a limited number of restaurants within walking distance. There is an izakaya (Japanese pub) called "Taruppe" about a 9-minute walk away.

Alternatively, if you venture a little further, you can take the train from Echigo-Nakazato Station (about a 15-minute walk) to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, where you can enjoy a variety of shops in the hot spring town on the west side. For your return trip, you can either take the train back to Echigo-Nakazato Station and walk home, or take a taxi from Echigo-Yuzawa Station.

Since all of these restaurants tend to get crowded, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

→We accept cash, various credit cards, and electronic payments.

Please tell me about your cancellation policy.

→The cancellation policy is as follows:

[No-show cancellation]: 100% of the accommodation fee

[On the day of arrival]: 100% of the accommodation fee

[7 days prior]: 50% of the accommodation fee

[15 days prior]: 30% of the accommodation fee

Are pets allowed?

→We apologize, but for the consideration of other guests, we do not allow pets at our hotel. Thank you for your understanding.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is prohibited inside the building.

Please use the designated smoking area when smoking. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping everyone have a pleasant experience.
